All Good Things Must Come to an End

One of the downsides to travel is when the adventure comes to an end and you need to return home. This was a post I started writing at the Chicago airport on my way back from Japan. I meant to post about my trip to Japan while I was actually in Japan, but that never happened. As one travel journey ends, a new one can begin. In a week, I'll be going to my in-law's lake house on Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. And in October, I'll be returning to South Korea. Lots to look forward to.

Packing

I have a love / hate relationship with packing. I love packing because it means that I'll soon be going on a new adventure. And by the time child number three came, I was pretty much set to staying in Minnesota. So my husband and I bought a house in our home town. But that desire to return to Japan never left. Good thing one of my best friends lives in Japan. I planned to visit her in June of 2020. Less than a month after I bought my plane ticket, the pandemic happened and my trip had to be cancelled. Life got even more in the way. Then in December
